PADMA SHRI TO CHUTNI DEVI (DIRECTOR ASHA, SARAIKELA WING)
Whole ASHA family takes immense pride and honour to state that Chutni Devi (Director ASHA, Saraikela wing) has been nominated for Padma Shri Award 2021. She will be awarded with Padma Shri on 15th March, 2021 at Rashtrapati Bhawan, New Delhi.
ASHA believes in addressing all the social issues through intensive awareness, activism and protection of rights of women, child and vulnerable communities. ASHA’s target group has largely been the women and children and especially those hailing from tribal communities. The major issues of intervention are: preventing witch-hunting, human trafficking, promoting education, building awareness, empowering women, improving women’s and girl’s health and ensuring action for safe migration, convergence with different developmental programs, collaboration with local self-governance and capacity building of the communities.
